Benefits of Executive Protection Services

How to Recognize That You Need Executive Protection Services

The world is a dangerous and sometimes frightening place, and it doesn’t really matter who you are or how rich or prominent you might be – those risks never really go away. In fact, VIPs and other well-known personalities are often at special risk, as they can attract unwanted attention from misguided fans, disgruntled former employees, criminal elements, and even deranged stalkers. Fortunately, executives and other VIPs don’t have to live in constant fear or apprehension. To get the piece of mind they need, they can turn to experienced security firms that offer the executive protection services they need. But how can you know whether you need this specialized form of security protection? Here are some of the most common reasons why you might need executive protection services for your personal security needs.

Public Prominence

If you are a celebrity, high-profile company head, well-known politician, or other types of VIP, then that public prominence represents an increased risk for your personal safety. The United States is a nation of more than 300 million people, and threats can come from almost anywhere. Trained and experienced executive protection personnel can safeguard your person, assess threats, and identify danger before tragedy strikes.

Travel in High-Risk Areas

Obviously, crime is an ever-present part of any society, and different areas pose different levels of risk. Whether you are venturing to an area known for its criminal element or just spending time in a public venue, there is always potential danger lurking around every corner. When you have money and fame, that danger can be even more threatening. The best way to counter those threats is with executive protection that keeps you safe.

The Need for Discretion

Some VIPs can count on local law enforcement and other security experts to assist with protection details in many public settings, but that option doesn’t always provide an ideal solution. For many prominent individuals, personal protection needs to be balanced against other concerns – like discretion. This is especially true for politicians and corporate executives who are often engaged in conversations and official duties that need to be shielded from public exposure. A professional executive protection detail understands the need for discretion and can help give you the peace of mind you need to conduct business without worrying about confidentiality concerns.

To Prevent Company Disruption

Are you a corporate executive whose company stock or stability might be disrupted if anything happened to you? Sadly, corporate kidnappings, assaults, and other crimes do occur, causing disruption for companies, employees, shareholders, and customers. These security professionals can protect you from known and unknown risks and safeguard your company’s continuity and stability at the same time.

To Guard Against Identified Risks

Of course, many of the previously listed reasons for using executive protection involve possible risks that often remain unknown until danger appears. But what about known threats? If you have been the recipient of any type of threat, then it’s important to consult with a competent security expert to assess the danger and find a solution that guards against that risk. While many direct threats are made by people who have no intention of following through on their words, no sensible person can afford to take the chance. Thankfully, executive protection services can help to ensure that potential threats are never allowed to manifest and do you harm.

In a perfect world, there would be no need for executive protection, but this world is anything but perfect. The good news is that you don’t have to just hope that danger keeps its distance. Thanks to executive protection services, you can have the safety and security you need, and the peace of mind you deserve.

Property Security Evaluation Report

Your Individualized Property Evaluation Report

Your site’s individualized property evaluation report contains information and analysis that you need to properly manage your site’s security needs. That information includes detailed analysis of the crime rate in your area, site access and parking protocols, and existing security infrastructure. Interior inspection includes analysis of emergency exits, fire suppression capabilities, and alarm infrastructure for emergencies. Exterior inspection includes analysis of structural defects, property lighting, and potential vulnerabilities in building access.

In addition to those inspections, our analysis also considered environmental factors, potential risks from older trees, outside property maintenance, and nearby crime that may overflow to the area. We also examined emergency response planning, including fire evacuation protocols and information supplied to residents about proper evacuation process.

Pressing Suggestions

We highly suggest a camera placement along this driveway, as the overhead cameras in the back parking lot may not capture all makes, models, and license plates of cars entering in and out based on the angle they are recording from. The best camera placement would be at the green circle closest to the sidewalk/street.
The common area is easily accessible, but based on the angle that cameras are set at the front lot, anyone can enter the basement common area concealing the side of their face that is facing the camera. This is not to say that the camera arrangement should be changed, but it is highly recommended to have coverage in this common area as the common area is on a lower floor not visible from the sidewalk.

However, a few fundamental problems exist when it comes to access control of the back parking (a big territory). Even though only two issues have ever occurred there, the wide-open access point to that lot may need to be corrected sooner than later as there is a significant uptick in crime in the 62nd precinct.

Furthermore, there are two fundamental surveillance blind spots along the driveway leading to the back parking lot and every common area.

Lastly, however unlikely it may seem, tenants should have resources and a physical guide for situations that may require an evacuation. Whether it be a flood or fire, each tenant should know how to use a fire extinguisher and where to evacuate to during a flood regardless of their proximity to a shoreline.
